Lake Kayak and the MVPCC surrounding areas are governed by the Snohomish County regulations for development in wetland areas. All of our community wetlands (Lake Kayak and streams) fall within this 150' setback specification.
In August 2007 Snohomish County adopted the Wetlands and Fish & Wildlife Habitat Conservation Area Chapter. The Growth Management Act covers development management around wetland areas specifying a protection buffer of 150' around most wetland areas. The regulation is relevant for property that has not been cleared or developed.

The Park rules are posted at the entrance and within the community park. Please help protect our community property by supporting and enforcing the rules when you and your guests are at the park.
Guest Passes
The guest pass policy was reinstituted in 2009. Each member lot receives a guest pass when the dues are paid each year. The pass needs to be carried by guests at the park/lake IF members are not accompanying the guests.
Although Lake Kayak is a private lake, we do have guidelines for members in order to protect the fish populations in the lake. The lake was stocked in 2018 with 1186 Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout in 2 sizes (5-7" and 7-9"). We are interested to hear what you find when you are out fishing, we hope they survive the cormorants, osprey, otter, eagles and predatory fish in the lake. Future funds for additional stocking may be included in the annual budget.
MVPCC has a Community Insurance Policy -- see the article on page 5 & 6 in the Winter 2011 newsletter
